Get a DT770Pro 250ohms with the Fiio K5 Pro (or suggest a better DAC and AMP (or sepperated)) I've used both of them a lot. They are very similiar. 80 ohm have more bass but its loose. 250 ohm version have better bass and more refined treble. Overall more balanced and hifi.

But I would want to buy an amp/dac for the DT 770 to really get good sound out of those headphones. So I need you guys's opinions on this. Option 1: The MMX 300 gen 2 without an amp/dac. Option 2: The DT 770 pro with a mic and an amp/dac. If, for starters, I would need an amp/dac to make option 1 sound good option 2 already sounds more logical.

M50x speakers are touching your ears and dt 770 leaves some space between which I like better. Biggest reason why I would recommend dt 770 more is the quality of materials. After one year of (heavy) use m50x joints that allows you to fold them so they fit in travel bag got both broken.

Closed vs Open Headphones (DT 770 vs DT 990) Closed cans like the 770s isolate the listener from the environment, meaning little noise gets in or out of the ear cups. That’s great for recording where you want to minimize bleed into the microphone, as well as for public use or quiet nighttime monitoring.

Tried the k371s and the dt 770 pro 80, I cannot express how much better the dt 770s sounded, punchier bass, clearer mids and a much wider sound stage. I havent had issue with the treble either. These are the k371s but in theory they're better than the k361s. Biggest difference would be the closed vs. open back design. Open backs are awesome where convenience allows for it. Personally, I use open backs (HD6xx) when alone in my room, mostly for either casual or critical listening. I tend to use closed backs (DT 770) when commuting, at work and on the occasion I want to block out external noises.
The DT 770 does that really well. I think bass isn't ideal for some genres of music such as rock and metal. Personally, my strat is to get neutral ish headphones and crank a 15dB boost when I want to listen to edm. Best of both worlds. Cause usually, if you google bassy headphones, hoo boy you'll get quality options.
The DT 770 M is a special version of the DT 770 PRO with 80 ohms. It is made for monitoring in extremely noisy environments. The DT 770 M offers significantly better ambient noise attenuation due to it's higher headband pressure of the earpads,
What is the differnce between DT 880 PRO and DT 990 PRO? Why does my DT 770 / 880 / 990 PRO have mismatching Logos on Product and Packaging? Why does my DT 770/990 PRO have another connection cable with a smaller thread? Which amplifier or interface should I consider to buy to get the best sound out of my DT 770/880/990 PRO with 32/80/250 ohms?

Beyerdynamic DT990 Premium at Amazon for $169. Give them anything less than 72 hours to warm-up and music is tainted by an uncomfortable trebly edge. When the edge is taken off, though, the Beyerdynamics have a likeable, even temperament. The mid-range is clear and comes through a rich bass and well judged treble.

The 700 is closed back and while the 900 is open. The 700 shouldn’t leak any noise to those around you and you won’t be able to hear anything or anyone around you, ideally. The close backs isolate and may have an emphasized low end. The 900 are open and will leak what your listening to to those around you and you will be able to hear noise

While the bass response from the M40x has more information in the upper bass, making it punchier, the DT 770 Pro extend far lower and have more separation.

The Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO are better headphones than the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, especially if you listen in a quiet room where you can take advantage of their open-back design. The Beyerdynamic are also better-built and feel sturdier thanks to their metal frame. On the other hand, if you need good critical listening headphones for your commute or if you like to listen to music in quiet
