5 stars (2018) 91%. 81%. 81%. Jaguar doesn’t have the best reliability record, but given that electric powertrains have very few moving parts it’s likely the I-Pace will keep you moving, no problem. There’s also masses of safety equipment as standard and the I-Pace received the maximum five-star score in Euro NCAP's independent safety
Lexus is just as reliable as Toyota, no doubt. But it’s worth noting that it will cost more to maintain a Lexus than a Toyota just because it’s a luxury vehicle and so it uses things like higher quality parts, premium gas and synthetic oil. But you’re in the market for a luxury car anyways, and all of them have that stuff, so that doesn
Always own a Jaguar under warranty unless you have really planned for upkeep. We have a 2020 Fpace and love it. In terms of reliability this particular model may be more reliable than the Q5. We had 7 F-Pace on our fleet & every one had faults, mechanical & electrical & some were off road for several days.
Need some advice, recently bought a Jaguar E-Pace brand new. Test drove it, ran fine, the delivery agent also checked off on it with me there, and it was all fine. Within 2 days of driving it, the navigation dashboard went blank and was never able to turn back on. Brought it back to the dealership and they gave me a lower trim E-Pace as a loaner.
However just looked up a Jaguar F type R MSRP $118,999. Then I saw a used 2022 porsche 911 Carrera with 907 miles going for $133,330. I understand that 15k is a lot of money but if I was in the market for another car I wouldn’t think twice about spending the money. I’d even go older or more miles to get the Porsche.
I daily drove my 17 f-type v6 about 800 mile a month for almost 5 years until a teenager blew threw a light and crashed in to me totaling it. Had a couple minor issues but Jag has an awesome warranty so I got to drive some of the other models as loaners a couple times. I miss it every day and am looking for another F-Type to replace it's a daily.
You’ll have a better overall experience with the RAV4 than the F-Pace. The general consensus is accurate, Jaguars have a bit of issues with reliability and the cost when something does go wrong will be more expensive on the Jag. Don’t get me wrong, I love the styling and luxury of Jags, but I’d only buy with a warranty or lease. The I-Pace will be sold in Europe with the range being 300 miles, that is the range the car got under the official European test cycle system. If you have a problem with the test cycle being unrealistic, then thats fine, but has nothing to do with Jaguar.
Jaguar is a dead brand walking. All their legacy products are essentially gone. The XF has a sorry 4 cyl only, the E pace is a complete flop, and the F pace is the most generic forgettable looking luxury crossover. Electrification won't save them, at least not in the North American market.
When my Dad retired he bought a 2017 the F-Type R 5.0 V8. It was his absolute pride and joy. He loved it so much, that he upgraded to a 2022 version of the same car with the same engine. He loves the car, however he's disappointed; the 2017 with the active exhaust sounded beautiful throughout the range, starting as low as 1,500 revs.
The Model 3/Y crushed it in sales. The Ioniq's 2020 global sales are even more insignificant: 13.8k. High-end (~$100k) luxury vehicles like the Model S/X (56k) or Taycan (20k) significantly outsold it. Let's hope Hyundai makes a lot more of their newer EVs, because from what I've heard they are excellent cars.
New baby F-pace. I'm pretty certain I saw a test car baby F-pace today. I was just outside the town of Southam in a layby when a heavily masked compact suv came into the layby past me and then went back towards Southam which is maybe 6 or 7 miles from the Gaydon R&D centre. Hard to assess the body shape with some obvious add ons.

I think the ~2001-2004 era XJR models were actually decently reliable in terms of making it to 100k miles. They had some timing chain tensioner issues on the 2001 model, resolved for 2002 and some water pump issues but usually not until ~150k miles. The 2000 and earler models had issues with their cylinder linings. 10. 2017 XE or XF reliability. Realistically, how much trouble am I looking at with either of these models? Both under $23k (I'm in America) and both around 41k miles. Most of my exposure to Jags comes from watching Top Gear and I know they exaggerate a bit, but clearly reliability is a concern. Jaguars are gorgeous cars and I've always wanted one j3grNh.
